I have visited many restaurants the first half of this year
but two stand out as the best. The first
was back in January when I was out in Whippany, NJ visiting Pharma country
USA. I was lucky to be invited to dinner
at a place called “Il Capriccio”. It
reminded me of some of the best food and wine I had when living in Italy. They have wild boar (cinghiale) and rabbit (coniglio)
pasta dishes, porcini, prosciutto and burrata on the menu too. They also have my personal favorite, whole roasted
branzino…Buono!!!
The wine list is also extensive, featuring wine from every
region in Italy. We shared a Taurasi
(made from Aglianico grape in the Campania region of Italy) and a Barbaresco
(made from Nebbiolo in the Piedmont region of Italy). Both of these grapes are two of my favorites
reds ever made!
Here is a link to the website. When you are there you will eat like you
would if you were somewhere in Italy!
Enjoy! Saluti!
