End of March!!!

Ciao tutti...

I know I have not added any new posts to my blog and I have no new pictures right now but I did want to say Hello to everyone who has been looking...especially the ones "undercover"!!!

All is well and I will be moving to Torino this week. I start my Italian classes next Monday, April 7 so I will be busy trying to learn this language a little better. It is hard to believe I have been here for almost a month already. I have celebrated Easter, and Easter Monday, I also have made new friends and learned more about the Italian way of living. I had dinner with Mariella's best friend, Elisa Zanotto, and her family last week. Lost money in poker and went out for latin dancing night?!? Let me tell you...I really enjoyed having dinner with Elisa and her family but it is really difficult when I am the only person who speaks English. Elisa does a little but Mom, Dad and Brother...niente! It was a good experience to learn so thanks to all of them!

I have also been fortunate enough to spend a lot of time with Mariella this last week. I am planning to see her more in Torino and maybe...just maybe...she will come visit the good ole USA later this summer. I guess we will have to wait and see what happens but it has been fun!

Festa di Compleanno di Nino!

Last Saturday, March 22, was Nino's 61st birthday. We celebrated his birthday in Torino at a place called, "la Tavola di Babele"...the Table of Babel. I have some great pictures of the event and I will post them. For those who do not know, Nino is Mariella's father and he is born and raised in Cuceglio, Italy. It was a lot of fun celebrating with the entire family for his birthday. A presto…

Angelo Conto...

In the picture is Vanda and Nino's son, Angelo and his girlfriend, Alessandra. Angelo and Alessandra have a house in the area and an apartment they use in Torino for music lessons. Angelo teaches piano lessons and Alessandra teaches singing lessons. There are both great people and have a lot of recommendations for the city of Torino! I am looking forward to spending time with them once I move to Torino!!!

Mariella...

Here is a great picture of Mariella and me in Aglie. I have met several of her friends in Cuceglio and the surronding areas. Over the past two weeks I have really enjoyed talking with them. Some speak a little English and some do not!!! This is good because it allows me the chance to practice speaking Italian in a "real life" situation. Roberto, Elisa, Jonlucca, Paolo, Marco, Stefania, Angelo, Jovi, Tiziana, Davide and many, many others I do not remember right now!!! Anyway, here is a picture of the two of us. I will write more about what we have been doing soon!!!
